"Bzz"is the fashion label of Davide Bazzerla, an Italian designer based in Berlin and Venice. His fall/winter 2010/11 collection is a project about meanings: the many ways to deconstruct them and reinterpret their concepts, usages, senses, effects. Turning Carabiniere trousers into a sexy evening dress is both a statement and a joke. It is a reflection about the concept of garments, their social usage and effects: this can be as frivolous as radical, and definitely very personal. From meaning to volume, this shift is the language of the cloth itself. Bzz creates new shapes and proportions – glamour and structure always make love. Davide feels more at ease at the intersections of fashion, art, market and culture, he say that this cross pollinates his experiences and vision. A leather ringed trunk quotes Gerhard Richter's design for the stained glass window in the Köln Cathedral, as well as an architecture of bubbles wraps up the neck of a cloak, making a vest more similar to a Zaha Hadid's shape. He combines precious haute-couture prototypes and après-defilé garments with rougher fabrics and his own “costless” second-hand clothes. He skillfully deconstructs silky chiffon evening dresses of cult fashion designers translating their original meaning into another syntax. The outcome is playful, surprising and unexpected. Bzz quotes the first three letters of the designer’s taxpayer code, and recalls the spelling of a noise – a buzz – as continuous as it is dissonant but anyway present, though sometimes undetectable. Davide Bazzerla, born in Verona, has been working with his bzz brand since 2005, initially, with a store in Rome. He designed collections for major Italian fashion brands and also collaborates with artists and creative from different backgrounds.

ArtEZ Fashion Masters / the Fashion Institute Arnhem will be introducing it's Generation 11 : 8 new graduated designers will present their collection during Paris fashion week.

8 talented young designers collections; Pauline van Dongen, Franciscus van der Meer, Oda Pausma, Nick Rosenboom, Jiska van Rossum, Janneke Verhoeven, Josine Visser, Rebecca Ward, will be presented during the Fashion Week in Paris on Wednesday March 3rd and Thursday March 4th. A new decade, a new generation, a new start, longs for a new presentation form; a showroom exhibition at the renowned Gallery Joseph in le Marais.
