New at Public Image PR : JOHN LAWRENCE SULLIVAN

John Lawrence Sullivan is, quoting the Alphaville song, already Big In Japan, this is partially due to designer Arashi Yanagawa’s peculiar background. Indeed, before creating the John Lawrence Sullivan label in 2003 ( named after the early XXth century first world boxing champion), he was a pretty famous professional boxer following a familial tradition. When times to retire from fighting came, Yanagawa's love for style and design naturally led him to create his own menswear label.

For Fall Winter 2010-11, the garments follow the intelligent rock DNA of Yanagawa’s designs: mod influences mixed with grunge glamor and traditional British tailoring. And they are executed in the most refined fabrics available under the high quality level imposed by the designer's wish for perfection. There’s a certain something in the collection that recalls Jim Jarmusch’s Mystery Train, a poetic feeling with a rock'n'roll twist tinted of Japanese sensibility.
